Vintage Kicks Off
We’ve been out sampling our Barossa vineyards the last couple of days and we’re happy to say that we’ve booked in our first grapes to be picked next week (finally 😅).
We’ll be kicking off with our Grenache for Dolan & Dunn Rosé on Wednesday, followed closely by Shiraz blocks on Thursday and Friday, so we’ll keep you posted as we start crushing.
The fruit is looking great – lovely bright, concentrated flavours with good acid and tannins – and the vines are saying ‘pick me’. The leaves are starting to yellow off a bit, the shoots are all well lignified, the seeds are crunchy and brown, and the skins are rich with colour. All signs that say we’re good to go!

Here’s Nigel in our Riebke Grenache block at Ebenezer (amazing old vines!). This fruit is destined for the Dolan & Dunn Shiraz Grenache. Looking like it just might be a cracker!
Three cheers for our fabulous growers who have nurtured the vines through another tough year to come up trumps once again 👏👏👏
